We’re planning on writing a series of articles about the Indian Pacific Wheel Race, but a lot of riders are beginning to publicly plan their training and planning, so we decided to start now…

The race starts on 18 March 2017 at 6:00am in Fremantle, Western Australia and finishes at the Sydney Opera House. The clock doesn’t stop, there is no prize money, and all that’s at stake is honour.

The guys at Curve Cycling are heavily involved; here’s what they’re saying to expect:

The ride covers several different types of terrain, all with their own defining features:

1. The desert (incl the Nullarbor Plain);
2. Rolling hills of the famous wine districts of South Australia;
3. The iconic Great Ocean Road; and
4. The Australian Alps.
