The 2017 Gravel Worlds are shaping up to be something pretty amazing. Get this, 150 miles of gravel riding, 10,000ft of climbing as well as World Championship jerseys up for grabs in a number of categories.

If you can see yourself (almost) up there with the Sagan’s of the world in a rainbow jersey of your own, and you ride competetively in any of these categories:

  • Men’s Open
  • Women’s Open
  • Men’s Masters (50+)
  • Women’s Masters (40+)
  • Men’s Single Speed
  • Women’s Single Speed
  • Tandem
  • Men’s Fatbike/Cargo Bike/Recumbent
  • Women’s Fatbike/Cargo Bike/Recumbent

You need to have $65 to spare for the entry fee, and be able to get yourself to South Eastern Nebraska. If that all works for you, then head to the official website NOW and get your entry in, because they’re limited to 500 places ONLY.

New for this year, the organisers have added a ‘Privateer’ Gravel Grinder for the less competitive, less ambitious of us out there. 75 Miles is still not to be taken lightly though, but with checkpoints and refuelling stations along the way they’re making sure you stand a fighting chance! Two categories only in this non-championship event:

  • Men’s Open
  • Women’s Open

The entry fee remains at $65 and there is a 300 place limit.

Both events include a schwag bag and a place on the start line of your chosen event. Additionally, $5 from each entry fee will go to the Pirate Cycling League charitable donation fund.

The event is on August 19th 2017, and starts at 0600!

We especially love the ‘9 Basic Rules’!
